The Pre-Primary Program is for children 3 to 6 years old. We maintain a 1/11 teacher to student ratio at Arcadia Montessori.
We offer 2 classrooms each with an indoor/outdoor environment, vegetable gardens, animals, overhead awnings, work benches, easels and wet practical life.
All of our teachers have A.M.I. certification.
Head instructor Amelia Canas has been with us 26 years. She teaches the full Montessori curriculum, music in movement and art appreciation. She brings much joy, experience and fun to her students.
Raquel Alvarez heads up the second preprimary classroom. She also teaches the Montessori cirriculum as well as our Spanish class and some Italian. She did some of her training in Italy; love animals and gardening.
In addition, our two classrooms offer a music class, plus art, creative dramatics, cooking and gardening.

Our total enrollment is 94 students - The School is the second oldest Montessori School in the Valley, serving Phoenix for over 30 years.
We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood, centrally located near Scottsdale, Tempe and the Arcadia area with easy access to downtown Phoenix.
The school was started by educator Judy Pembeton who believes in the Montessori Method and the education of the whole child.
